Inspired by Deborah Lippmann‘s new Spring 2015 collection, we’ve decided to step up our photo-editorial game and shot a story about imponderable pastel colours, first rays of intangible light, misty mornings in bed, faint whispers and soft touches.
*** Our heartfelt thanks for the collaboration and these amazing pictures (if we may say so ourselves) go to ohh so talented photographer and dear friend Kamohelo Khoaripe. Products we used and some advice on application down below. Enjoy!
On photos 1,2,3,4, and 6 Aline is wearing Deborah Lippmann‘s sheer pearly champagne lacquer A Fine Romance (applied in three coats). On pictures 5 and 7 – sheer blue grey crème Misty Morning (two coats). For extra gleam and even finish we used Maybelline brand new Dr. Recsue Gel Effect Top Coat, with which we’re currently obsessed, as it reinforce any nail polish, making it look glossier and harder, not to mention the fact that it prolongs the life of your mani for up to two weeks, without chipping off or loosing it’s shine.
To make your hands close-up ready, don’t forget to take care not only of your nails, but also the skin. Prior to the shoot we abused our favourite heavy duty moisturizer Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream together with special treatment for cuticles Dr. Rescue SOS Nail Balm by Maybelline. For luminous snow-white look and radiant complexion generously apply Vita Liberata‘s Capture The Light Illuminating Skin Finish With SPF 25 (Buttermilk), it’s like a BB-cream for the whole body – it evens out the skin tone, while millions of microscopic light-reflecting elements makes your skin glow from within.
