September is a tough month for our wallets. Most of the brands launch new products, release limited edition collections or at least introduce some fall shades of our favourite make-up. Of course we want to buy it all, but if you’re (just like us) kind of short on budget, because you’ve already spent all your money on a new trench coat and a nice pair of boots, here are five must haves you should own to be on trend and happy:

To be honest, across the board we aren’t much of eyeliner girls over here at Beauty Pie. Partly because we aren’t skilled enough in applying them (isn’t it quite blunt of us to admit this fact?), partly because we prefer no-make-up-make-up-looks. If you recognise yourself in this description, you gotta get Make Up Store‘s Eye Pencil in Metal. It’s extremely easy to operate, even if you’ve never held an eye pen in you hands before: all you need to do is to apply it on both upper and lower waterlines and then very-very close to your lashes. The result? Bright and accentuated eyes that will turn heads! This soft metallic colour gives you just enough drama, without looking way too mainstream like many pitch black liners often end up.
When it comes to glitters and shimmers in nail polishes, Deborah Lippmann is your girl. There is no other brand on the market that can make your nails look and feel so expensively glamorous and rich (but in a good way). Lullaby of Broadway is a dusty pink chrome shade from a new collection inspired by New York City. Have you ever seen anything bad made with that cult city in mind? Us neither. If you are not ready for confetti nails yet, this is a perfect way to start your transition from creams to glitters.
You’ve probably figured out by now that Beauty Pie has a thing for Kjaer Weis. Thoughtful, stunning and well-designed cases; ethical, natural and flattering products; fashionable yet universal shades that suit almost everyone… What is there not to like? One of the latest editions to this beautiful family of products is a creamy Highlighter that can be used both on brow- and cheekbones, to make them look sharp as a knife and drop-dead-gorgeous.
Deep red colours are perfect for fall and winter, when the skin gets paler and the days become shorter. Do you know what else is great for the cold season? A lipstick that has a lot of moisturising and nourishing properties to help you fight bad weather conditions like frost or wind and make your lips soft and delicious all year round. One of our favourite lippies for winter are Sisley Phyto-Lip Shines, they allow us look dressed-up while taking good care of our skin. There’re two new shades in the fall collection: juicy Papaya and deep Berry, we love both, but the purple tone is a bit more suitable for winter.
Sensai’s Cellular Perfomance Cream Foundation has always been a great base product for ladies who appreciate luxury in make-up. The texture is heavenly light, but heavily moisturising and the formula is packed with tons of cutting-edge ingredients that help you get rid of fine lines and wrinkles. This fall, as a part of global rebranding process, the Japanese company has redesigned all packaging and updated a great share of the line. Cellular Perfomance Cream Foundation became even more effective, but still maintained its ability to seamlessly glide on the skin and leave it silky and soft.
