Beauty Pie’s signature category: the notorious Pandora’s Box. This time we’ve teamed up with Consumerista — probably the best blogger writing about natural beauty in Russian. You can also check her updates on the instagram — not only in Russian. So that’s what Consumerista told us:
“Usually before purchasing a new product I’m going into the deep research: read various reviews, learn more about the manufacturer and brand values. Reviews of the well-trusted bloggers and interviews with brand founders play a big role in my decision making process. Most of the time products that I buy don’t disappoint me. A fairly simple recipe for a homemade lip tint from our favourite book ever. Which is a bible. The Ultimate Natural Beauty Bible that is. The tint has a very rich texture and a little plumping effect thanks to the peppermint essential oil on the ingredient list. You can adjust its brightness by adding more beetroot juice to the recipe.
I have a thing for natural moisturizers. It’s sort of an irrational addiction that I cannot let go. Despite quite a few bad experiences, time after time I go back to organic cosmetics shops, purchase something natural and inevitably get disappointed.
Beauty Pie’s signature category: the notorious Pandora’s Box. In here, we’ve put the most useless beauty products we’ve bought (God knows why) that pretty much collect dust and take up space in our bathroom cabinets. As we spend a fortune on cosmetics each month, we thought we’d be helpful and neighbourly to prevent you from making some of our mistakes. Products in this category aren’t necessarily bad (as we believe that there’s no such thing as bad cosmetics), but these items either didn’t fit in in our daily routines, didn’t fulfill what was promised on the packaging or just didn’t meet our expectations. We’ve all been there sometimes: impulsively buying some multi-purpose oils just because they smell good, or new limited edition make-up products because the packaging looks so cute, or simply because something is on sale. Well, next time think twice, have you seen it flying out of Beauty Pie’s Pandora Box? Put it back on the shelf.
